City Hall

Commemorative Brick Walk Project

The Commemorative Brick Walk in front of Everglades City Hall was started in 2006 and is an ongoing project. Bricks are permanent gifts for anniversaries, birthdays, thank-you’s, and memorials.

The Brick Walk project was one of our first fundraisers to “Save City Hall” after it was damaged during Hurricane Wilma in 2005. Now funds collected will help us continue to preserve other structures.

The current campaign is closed, but with renewed interest in sponsoring a brick, we will start a new campaign.. Check back for future opportunities.

Everglades City Hall

Second Floor Gallery

ESHP has established a hall gallery featuring artwork of the late local artist Bob Klotz. Gallery is open to the public during City Hall hours.

Bob Klotz (1893-1987) painted a series of watercolors of Everglades historic buildings to celebrate the 50th Anniversary in 1973 of the founding of Collier County.

The Klotz family moved from Philadelphia to Ft. Myers, then Sanibel, and eventually to Everglades City in 1969 where they operated the Sea Gull Studios. Bob’s wife Katherine lived to be 104 years old and was also an artist. Many residents remember her and their daughter Virginia who worked at the shop until retiring in 2010.
