Helen Bryan was a founding member of the Friends of the Museum of the Everglades in the 1990s and has been active in every aspect of the Everglades City / Chokoloskee community. With her acquired skills and good eye, Helen was appointed photojournalist of the local newspaper The Mullet Rapper in 2014 and continues serving in that capacity.

Her ability to capture the history of the Everglades community over the past 30+ years is remarkable. She is everywhere, all the time, behind the scenes at events, chronicling the lives of the people and places of the swamp. Helen is the historian for ESHP, and her photographs are documented on the Gallery page of our website.
